A-Lister SEO Fail

When is it OK to treat a potential client like crap, even if you have no desire or intention of working with them? When you’re an “A-List” SEO, apparently. A post was recently published on the SEOmoz blog, bragging about a mob attack on a potential client who was enquiring about an SEO proposal from 51 SEOs simultaneously. Ok, so sending an e-mail to 51 SEOs and asking them for a proposal, especially if you CC all said SEOs so that they can all see each other is pretty fricking dumb. But the behaviour of these SEOs in their replies completely overshadows any rudeness or ignorance that this potential client has shown.

He got replies from the SEOs (also CCed to all of them) of the most unprofessional, embarrassing nature. Replies like:

I could give a s**t if you have a million bucks to spend.

F**k off,

and others of similar nature. All of them certainly seem to be very proud and get some sort of pleasure from ganging up on someone who tried to go about looking for help from someone more informed than him. I wonder why, dear “A-List SEOs”, your real identies are hidden in this great post where you brag about your bullying achivements? Come out and receive the “praise”.
